Here are the pictures of when the layout was in the beginning stages of being built. The layout is 16.5 feet by 22 feet, and represents the area extending from Newport News to Richmond, during the Steam to Diesel era of the late 50's to early 60's. It is being built in sections, so that the layout can be taken apart, for the move back to Lee Hall Depot. More pictures will be added here to show the progress that is being made.

The back side of the layout will have a hidden yard. This way, it will give the illusion of the trains coming from no where. The trains will be coming out of the hidden yard to the three legs of the layout. The side of the backboard facing the three legs of the layout will be scenic.
